What worked?
Left well early. Scored when the ball entered my areas.
The gap between nets and match day
You can bat well in the nets and still not make runs.
In a match, one decision can end your innings. Conditions change, pressure builds and lessons from previous games are easily forgotten.
Most players remember their scores. Remembering everything they learned along the way is harder.
MakeRuns is being built to make that easier.
How it works
Every innings leaves something worth remembering.
- 01
Reflect
Record your innings, training and observations while they're still fresh.
- 02
Understand
Build a clearer picture of your batting through your scores, reflections and recurring patterns.
- 03
Prepare
Bring relevant lessons and personal reminders into your next match.
These are planned MakeRuns capabilities. The player platform is currently in development.
Your batting history
The lessons are already there. Keep them.
Sometimes the most useful reminder before batting comes from something you noticed weeks or months earlier.
MakeRuns is designed to help you find those moments again, understand recurring themes and keep track of what matters to your own game.

Built from real cricket experience
Built by a batter who wanted something better.
MakeRuns started with a simple habit: reviewing innings, tracking season targets and recording what seemed to work.
After scoring over 1,000 runs again during the 2026 season, its founder, a UK-based cricketer and data engineer, wanted a better way to organise everything he'd learned.
So he started building MakeRuns.

Questions
A few things players and coaches ask.
How is MakeRuns different from Play-Cricket?
Play-Cricket records match results and statistics. MakeRuns is being designed around your own reflections, batting history and match preparation.
Why not just use a notebook or ChatGPT?
Both can be useful. MakeRuns aims to provide a dedicated cricket-specific workspace where innings, goals and reflections stay organised and can be revisited more easily.
Will MakeRuns help me score more runs?
MakeRuns is designed to support reflection, tracking and preparation. It cannot guarantee improved batting performance.
Will my batting notes be private?
Private reflections are intended to remain private by default. Sharing selected information with coaches or others will require explicit player control. These features must be implemented and tested before release.
Do I need to download an app?
No. MakeRuns is being built as a mobile-friendly web platform.
Is MakeRuns available now?
Not yet. You can join the founding player list to receive updates and register your interest in testing.
